How I made it: 

I made this ring by melting silver scrap into a charcoal block to create a rough shape, then hand carving and sanding into the finished rock shape. I melted other pieces of silver and gold into the baubles that surround the rock, welding and soldering them into place. The next step was the ring shank, which I formed from silver oval wire, hammering into a circle and soldering the rock shape. I made sure to soften the inside of the ring shank to ensure a comfortable fit. Finally, the ring was polished and the diamond was flush set to complete the look.
